Release news version 3.0
Read about the new features today. In the end of the summer we will release 2c8 Modeling Tool 3.0.

A new web publishing, the ability to create lists of objects or relations, model in layers, creating document object and configure the application are some of the new features.

Toghether with the launch of 2c8 Modeling Tool 3.0, we also offer a course in which we during one day go through how to practically benefit from the new features, review, case studies and exercises. Read more about the course "Learning the news of 2c8 Modeling Tool - Version 3 " here.

New webpublishing tool

In version 3.0, HTML publishing completely redesigned to provide greater scope to shape the published models for their own needs. Some of the new features are:

  • Frames - object-and when you click an item, can be displayed in the left, right or bottom frame. Of course, even as pop-up as before.
  • Zoom - Although the published models can now be zoomed.
  • Multilanguage Support - Switch between languages seamlessly when you are in a model.
  • More flexible menus - Menus can now be built in several levels.
  • Availability - The end user can now choose the level of detail by lighting and extinguishing published stock.
  • Full compliance to W3C standards. - The new publication fully supports the W3C and is compatible in all browsers.

These changes are made without sacrificing the simplicity of publishing.

Lists

Now it is possible to create lists of objects created and relationships in the repository. Advance but have to lists of objects and models in html publishing, but now could very well also see them in the tool. You can also create lists of their own ranking criteria. Eg List all roles associated with an activity of a particular type.

Relations

The tool now can read out the relations an object has to other objects. Now it is possible to create criteria to decipher relationships in multi-step. Eg when you click on a role so you can see the systems that role has a relation to the activities in process models.
These relationships will continue with the publication.

Document object

When you need to create textual information to an object before it has to be done in two ways, write the information in a description or link it to a document on a file server or a Web site. The problem is that the information in the description can not be reused in multiple items and that some information is not suitable to bring in external document. There is therefore now possible to create a document object directly in 2c8 Modeling Tool.

Layer/ views

To create a common understanding of the business so collected information in graphical models. The models give answers to the complex reality many times but the more information collected the poorer the readability. We want access to information but not all at once. In 2c8, we can now add information in different layers, and users can choose which view you want to consider. A process model example displayed based on its basic flow composed of activities with inputs and outputs. Users can then select additional views such as targets and indicators, roles and responsibilities, IT support, problems and risks. Open a screen dump of layer management
